Conversations with a Probate Judge
Converstations with a Probate Judge!
“Judge Coleman, a proud recipient of the Castagna award for judicial excellence, is a native of Cleveland and moved to Clearwater a really long time ago. After graduating from Clearwater High, he majored in economics at the University of Florida and refused to leave until he was awarded his JD in 1994.
After several years as an Assistant State Attorney, he joined Lou Kwall and Greg Showers in private practice specializing in the fields of criminal defense and civil rights litigation. After taking a leave of absence from the firm when his wife was stationed overseas by the US Navy in Naples Italy, he went on to then represent Sheriff Gualtieri as associate general counsel until appointed to serve as a circuit judge in 2013.
Judge Coleman has worked in the civil, family and juvenile divisions and currently is assigned to handle probate, guardianship and trust matters. He lives in Clearwater with his wife and two daughters and is the reigning champion of his fantasy baseball league.”
