So much has changed throughout the COVID pandemic, for the benefit of you and your clients, come hear the latest on Medicare, Medicaid and Long Term Care from one of our community’s experts in the field.
The luncheon meeting will be held VIRTUALLY. The meeting will begin promptly at Noon.
Linda R. Chamberlain is a Board-Certified Elder Law Attorney who has practiced in Clearwater and the surrounding area since 1991. Linda shared office space with Special Needs Lawyers, PA for many years prior to joining our firm in 2015.
Linda has achieved Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating as an AV® Preeminent™ Attorney. Her Elder Law practice includes Medicaid Planning, Medicaid Applications, Long Term Care and Disability Issues, Qualified Income Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Veterans Benefits and Estate Planning. Linda is the Founder and President of “Aging Wisely, LLC” a professional care management company and “EasyLiving, Inc.” a non-medical private duty home care company. Linda serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Stetson University College of Law. She currently serves on the Board of the Clearwater Free Clinic. Prior to practicing law, she was the Director of Social Services at Lancashire Hall Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a Field Services Director of the Area Agency on Aging in Kirksville, Missouri, and a Discharge Planner at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She received her BA degree in Social Work from Oral Roberts University and JD degree from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Law.
Linda is a Past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar and remains an active member. She served on the Executive Committee of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar 2003 – 2010. She served on the Florida Bar BLSE Elder Law Certification Exam committee 2005-2009. She served as the Co-Chair and Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Clearwater Bar Association from 2005-2007. She has served on the Gulfcoast Legal Services Board of Directors from 2004-2007 and on the Clearwater Bar Foundation Board during 2006. She served on the Clearwater Yacht Club Youth Sailing committee from 2002-2004. She served on the Board of Directors of Partners in Self-Sufficiency from 1998 – 2003 and served as Board President from 1999-2001. She previously served seven years on the Board of Directors of St. Paul’s School, and has served as a liaison for Youth Leadership Pinellas and Leadership Pinellas Board of Directors.
Professional memberships include the Florida Bar, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Florida Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar, Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, Clearwater Bar Association, Elder Law Committee and Probate Committee of the Clearwater Bar, St. Petersburg Bar Association, National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Florida Council on Aging.
