This year's "Tax Update" will feature updates for the 2020 filing season as it relates to individuals, businesses, trusts and estates. Throughout the tax update, we will be providing additional information for changes introduced by the CARES Act and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021; and how these new pieces of legislation will impact the 2020 filing season.

Cathy Haug:

Experience

With 20 years of public accounting experience, Cathy provides tax compliance, tax consulting and business consulting services to small businesses and their owners. She provides tax and advisory services to companies in various industries and has significant experience with opportunity planning to maximize her clients’ tax benefits related to recent tax law changes. Cathy also specializes in the nonprofit arena and supervises all 990 preparation for the Carr, Riggs & Ingram Tampa Bay office.

Ryan Hayden

Experience

Ryan is a trusted advisor to clients in the Tampa Bay area. With more than six years of experience in public accounting, he provides tax planning, tax compliance, tax consulting and business valuation services. While he serves individuals and closely-held businesses, his predominant focus and passion is estate and trust tax matters. Ryan is also knowledgeable in state and local tax, and has represented numerous clients before state and local agencies during examination.

Ryan is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and also a member of numerous local community organizations.

Ryan currently serves on the board as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair at the Dunedin Fine Art Center and is a board member of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council.
